Terms of Service

Language Lock

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Language Lock mobile application (the "App"), operated by OneClick Commerce LLC ("Language Lock," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The Service

Language Lock helps you reduce time spent on distracting apps by letting you set time budgets for selected apps and requiring short language-learning sessions to unlock additional time. The App uses Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls technology, which you must grant permission to enable these features. Granting this permission is optional and you can revoke it at any time in your device Settings, though some features will not function without it. You are responsible for the app limits and settings you configure.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the App. You must create an account to use the App. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current.

You may delete your account at any time directly within the App (Settings → Account → Delete Account). Deleting your account removes your associated personal information as described in our Privacy Policy, subject to any data we are required to retain by law.

3. Subscriptions, Billing, and Auto-Renewal

Language Lock offers auto-renewable subscriptions purchased through Apple's In-App Purchase. The following terms apply:

  • What you get. A subscription unlocks the App's premium features for the duration of the subscription period.
  • Plans, price, and term. The exact title, length (e.g., weekly, monthly, or annual), and price of each subscription are shown clearly and prominently within the App on the purchase screen, and are confirmed by Apple before you complete payment. The price billed is displayed as the most prominent pricing element at the point of purchase. Prices may vary by region and are shown in your local currency where available.
  • Auto-renewal. Your subscription automatically renews for the same period at the then-current price unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
  • Managing and canceling. You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renewal, at any time in your Apple ID account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions) on your device. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Free trials (if offered). If a free trial is offered, the length of the trial and the price billed after it ends are shown before you start. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
  • Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase. All purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms.

4. Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's policies; to request a refund, contact Apple Support. Where you have statutory refund or cancellation rights under the consumer-protection laws of your jurisdiction (for example, the right of withdrawal in the EU/UK), those rights continue to apply and are not limited by this section.

5. License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple App Store terms.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except as permitted by law;
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App or its servers;
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security or usage features of the App; or
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App without our permission.

7. Intellectual Property

The App and its content, features, and branding are owned by OneClick Commerce LLC and its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.

8. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will achieve any particular reduction in screen time or learning outcome. The App is an educational and productivity tool and is not a substitute for professional advice.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ONECLICK COMMERCE LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR USD $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the App. You may stop using the App at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

11. Apple-Required Terms

These Terms are between you and OneClick Commerce LLC only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. To the extent applicable:

  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
  • In the event the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product-liability, legal/regulatory, or consumer-protection claims.
  • Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, or resolving any third-party intellectual-property claim relating to the App.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist-supporting," and that you are not on any U.S. Government restricted-parties list.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised "Last updated" date, and continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where superseded by applicable mandatory consumer-protection laws of your jurisdiction.
